At the beginning, take the puff pastry out of the fridge to thaw and reach room temperature.

We clean the potatoes, wash them and cut them into thin strips.

Put a pan with oil on the right heat. When the oil has heated, put the potatoes, the three sage leaves, sprinkle with salt and pepper and leave until the potatoes turn golden. Remove them on a paper napkin to remove excess oil.

We wash the mozzarella and cut it into slices. (Use any type of mozzarella you want ... that's what I had in the house :))

We take the puff pastry sheet and place it in a round tray lined with baking paper (or greased with butter and lined with flour).

Place the potato starter, together with the sage, then place the mozzarella slices on the entire surface.

Then place the corners of the puff pastry over the mozzarella and put in the preheated oven at 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

Serve hot.

Good appetite !

Quick tart with mackerel, potatoes and olives

Today I have for you a quick tart with mackerel, potatoes and olives, a goodness to enjoy at lunch or dinner, with your loved ones. As I told you, this tart is made very quickly, let's just say that only boiling potatoes takes a little longer, but you can boil them even the day before because we will need them cold for this delicious tart.

It looks a lot like rosti, the famous Swiss potato pie, but unlike this, the tart with mackerel and potatoes will be baked in the oven. We will get a great taste, but with fewer calories. Sounds good, doesn't it?

The thickness of the tart is very important for a perfect result, so we will stretch the composition to a maximum thickness of 2 cm. In this way, the crust will be crispy, and the core fluffy and full of flavor.

I used 2 cans of Lotka fillet mackerel, in olive oil, but if you are not friends with the mackerel, I recommend the Lotka fillet tuna in olive oil. In both variants, the tart comes out great!

Tart with mackerel, potatoes and olives - Ingredients (shape 30 & # 21535 cm)

  • 500 g red potatoes (weighed raw)
  • 2 cans of mackerel Lotka fillets, in olive oil (115 g / 1 can)
  • 50 g pitted black olives
  • 50 ml milk
  • 50 g parmesan
  • 80 g flour
  • 25 ml olive oil + 2 tablespoons olive oil for spreading tart
  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Step by step preparation - Quick tart with mackerel and potatoes

  • For starters, wash the potatoes (DO NOT peel them and do NOT cut them) and put them in a deep pan. Cover them with water, add 1 teaspoon of salt and cook for 30-35 minutes or until the fork enters them easily.

To boil at the same time, it is good to choose potatoes of the same size. You can also use white potatoes, if you want, I personally really like the red ones for this recipe.

Wholemeal tart with potatoes

The first time we take care of the potatoes, we clean them and cut them into small cubes, we boil them in water with a little salt. We cut the carrot sticks, fish onions and sliced peppers. We mix the tomatoes in the robot, but not hard, and set aside.

Finely chop the garlic. Put the vegetables on the fire with a little water, after they have suffocated enough, pour the tomatoes and let them drop (not to be too juicy), then add the garlic. Pour the potatoes and leave on the fire for another 2 minutes. In the meantime, we manage to take care of the top, mix all the ingredients and put in the tart pan greased with a little oil. Add the filling. And put in the oven for about 20 minutes. You can sprinkle a little telemea or cheese on top.

Potato tart is a delicious fasting dish with vegetables and mushrooms. Wash the potatoes and bring to a boil in salted water. After boiling, remove and allow to cool, then peel and strain.

2. In the mashed potatoes add the breadcrumbs, salt and margarine that was left for 2-3 hours before, at room temperature. Knead the composition well and leave it to cool for a few minutes. If you find it soft, add 1-2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs or flour.

3. During this time, clean and wash the mushrooms, cut into suitable slices and season with salt. Peel and wash the carrot and pepper, finely chop, then the onion (I used a large white one), cut into rounds and mix with the mushrooms.
Heat a little in oil - and add a few tablespoons of homemade ketchup.

4. Line a tart tray with margarine and breadcrumbs and spread the potato composition evenly. Then add the hardened vegetables.

I have never bought fasting cheese and I will not buy it, it seems to me a dangerous substitute, on which I am not addicted, so for me, it does not make sense.

Bone the olives and cut into small pieces that are spread over the composition.
Put it in the preheated oven and leave it until the potato top is slightly golden.

We clean, wash and cut the potatoes into slices about 5 mm thick. Heat the cleaned and sliced onion in oil. After 2 minutes add the potato slices and 4-5 tablespoons of water. Cover with a lid and simmer for about 5 minutes.

In another pan, melt the remaining butter (50 gr), add 2 tablespoons flour and after 1 minute add the milk little by little. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens. Turn off the heat and let it cool for 5 minutes, then add a beaten egg. We spread a sheet from the dough and put it in a higher tart shape. Put the white sauce over the dough and add the finely chopped bacon over it. Over the bacon layer we put the hardened onion and the potato slices placed in circles, one on top of the other. Grease the top with the beaten egg and bake the tart on the right heat until it browns on top. It can be served both hot and cold.

Potato and kaiser tart is delicious both hot and cold.
